Mara moved to the coast from Gothenburg in 2018 and paints in a converted garden shed. She works only from life, mostly from whatever is in the jug that week.
Her watercolours are painted on heavy cotton paper and framed by us with wide mounts, so the paper has room around it.

Watercolour won't let you fuss. You put the colour down and then you have to leave it alone.
