Painter
Hana Okafor
Big, warm abstract paintings that start as still lifes on her kitchen table.
Painter
Aldermouth
2019
Hana paints in acrylic on large canvases in a studio above the old net loft. Each painting begins with a real arrangement of jugs, fruit and cloth, then loses the objects as it goes.
She had her first solo show with us in 2021 and her work is now in several private collections in the UK and abroad.
In the artist’s words
The jug is still in there somewhere. I just stop needing to see it.
