Printmaker
Tobias Reyne
Cuts lino and wood blocks of the farmland he grew up on, printed by hand in small editions.
Printmaker
Fenwold
2016
Tobias trained as a joiner before he took up printmaking, and it shows in how carefully his blocks are cut. He prints every edition himself on an old Albion press in a barn outside Fenwold.
Editions are small, usually 30 to 50, and once an edition is sold he doesn't print it again. We keep a few of each in the plan chest if you'd like to see them unframed.
In the artist’s words
A print should look like it was made by a person. I leave the odd chisel mark in on purpose.
